Scott, for many years a man like me, who has never built a thing in his life, has taken great enjoyment in listening to your teachings about nails, handsaws and anvils. You make it fascinating because you have a star talent that makes you one of the greatest television artist that I have seen. You have an extraordinary ability to take us into you confidence and endow us with the privilege of your attention. I also happen to be a man who does not believe in any divine being of whatever form, and have prided myself in defying religion by sheer intellectual discipline, not giving credence to things that cannot be proven. But once again you draw me. I catch myself thinking that those who believe, and those, perhaps, who allow themselves to believe, have found a secret of life that cannot be proven, but can be felt. I see them walking on cushions of certainty that make them enjoy the road. Christmas as you celebrate it brings the intensity of joy that only children can enjoy. To feel it, it seems that you have to be a child of something, someone bigger, something in the nature of a good parent, protecting you and nurturing you with good heart and laughter. May the Spirit of Christmas that you irradiate so warmly embalm people like me and take them beyond the here and now.

Wow, Scott, great Christmas card-video! You are a good friend. I was in church watching the rehearsal for the Christmas play. The young narrator stumbled on the word "propititation". Jesus became the propitiation for sin. Its a great word to research and contemplate. Every time I go over something, I get a little better understanding . 1 John 4:10 Merry Christmas to One and All!

Iāve been watching your channel for a number of years now. One of your first videos I saw - was you describing modifications to your worm-drive circular saw. You started talking, I started listening - and have been listening ever since.
I have share you with my children, friendās, even casual aqainetnses that could benefit from your lesson on a specific subject matter. You are like that older guy, that everyone needs in their life. The fellow who shares all, and I really mean all that special sage advice - that somehow your dad, granddad or wise uncle forgot to pass on to you. I mean no disrespect by the term āoldā, Iām sixty five years old myself.
As I started to follow your channel, each time I saw one of your videos I would get sucked in. I would tell my wife Sherry, āhe reminds of Ralphie Parker from the movie A Christmas Storyā. All growād up of course, and prepared to share lifeās lessons to all that want to hear. Some of these lessons learned the a hard way - from the school of hard knocks.
Scott, thatās how I see you each and every video. A grown up Ralphie Parker with the soft narrative voice of Jean Shepard bestowing upon us a snippet of wisdom or more from each video. I donāt normally write to folks I follow on YouTube, but after watching your āMerry Christmas 2023ā I felt I needed to share how much I appreciate you, your life experiences and all your shared wisdom.
I too am a huge fan of the Dickens, A Christmas Carol. I also read to my children the story of Ebenezer Scrooge. We also watch the many versions of this classic story, including a Muppet version and Henry Winklerās version, An American Christmas Carol.
Your video this year was a wonderful message how we all need to reflect on what it means to ākeep Christmas wellā.
