From this video I learned how to write a children's book in just a few easy steps:
1. Buy an old Freightliner truck.
2. Fill the Freightliner with cows.
3. Drive the Freightliner filled with cows down the canyon late at night while being deathly tired.
4. Almost drive the Freightliner filled with cows into the river.
5. Compose a story to keep myself awake while driving the Freightliner filled with cows the rest of the way down the canyon.
6. Polish the story.
Simple! I'm only left with one question: What to do with the Freightliner filled with cows after its been driven down the canyon?

Scott, you and your family are very lucky to have a man like Cy Swan as a friend. He is an amazing man.
My name is Mark Matson, I live in Brookings Oregon. I am very close to your age and being born and raised in Brookings a lot of the things you talk about hit home. I am now retired, and I was a Diesel mechanic, welder all my life. I came across your channel when I went to watching YouTube with an interest in blacksmithing, I don't like much mainstream tv these days, so YouTube is what I watch mostly. I am the president of the Chetco Valley Historical Society and Museum. We our open Saturday's and Sundays from Memorial Day thru Labor Day, if you are ever on the Coast stop by our little museum. Keep up the good work and I just ordered Cy's book to read to my Grandchildren.

This is fantastic! Well done Cy and thank you Scott and Nate for making this video. ill be buying a few copies this morning for my grandsons.
edit i went ahead and placed that order and made sure to get enough for everyone. The missus made a good point that this is a chance to hand out athentic Cy Swan originals (of a sort) to the kids and I cant turn that down. Ill be puting one up next to my Green Valley Forge knife as a reminder to not give up the fight.

I sure am glad I got to cross paths with so many people of Cy’s generation. My Dad was a couple years younger than Cy but I always loved being around him and his friends and hearing all the tales and life experiences they all had. Most of them had hard lives but somehow that hardship made good men.

"Even though she is green and stands with the trees we get along", I love that despite differences we can get along alright.
