THIS IS WHAT IT IS? I've been feeling this for nearly my entire life, and I get so annoyed very fall and spring. The weather distracts me and I don't act like myself anymore. Thank you, I finally know why.

My seasonal depression gets really really bad in Winter. Usually it starts around November when it gets darker. There's just no light at all, maybe for about three hours in the daytime if I'm lucky. Usually it's just grey and bleak outside and it makes me feel so numb and sad.

I'm here because my SAD just started. Every year I get depressed and incredibly anxious from November through the end of February. I also have panic attacks exclusively in the winter months, it sucks. Every time November starts, I just close my eyes and wish for March to come

For me, I have the really rare version of seasonal affective disorder where I actually get depressed in summer! This was still really interesting though, great video!

For me Winter is such a sad season. I'm from a hot country which is always sunny. And where I study the winter season is so cloudy, like almost everyday. That bad weather just drain all my energy and motivation. I just want to go home and stay in my sheet... Can't wait for spring.

Itā€™s so strange how in just one day and the start of the cold seasons, my mood completely changes and I revert back to my depressive state again. It honestly feels like a switch has been pushed. Iā€™d love to see a gp/therapist to try and help but Iā€™m still not that confident yet- a big thanks to the family and friends that help me through this ā¤ļø

Behind accurate. I donā€™t know who else needs to hear this message but I just want to say that we will get thru this together. Taking time for yourself is valid. Cry it out. Write it out. Just a reminder that life moves in cycles. When youā€™re going thru a rough time (especially this season), that signifies that better days are ahead. If you canā€™t do everything on your checklist itā€™s okay. Donā€™t beat yourself up about it.

Long stretches of gloomy & chilly weather in the spring aggravate my SAD way more than normal winter weather. It's like I'm programmed to tolerate 3 or 4 months of darkness, but get grouchy when it extends to 5-6 months.

I think the most challenging thing for me is that my SAD isn't a 24/7 thing, but it's just always lingering in the background waiting to catch me off guard in a moment where I'm not happy and then it just consumes me for a couple hours before backing off again and then it just repeats like every three days.
