For being low budget, this show was incredibly well-acted. I don't know who played Lord Kiely's wife, but the acting when she came into Sharpe's tent was off of the charts. You can clearly see the desperation and the heartbreak in her face.

It's well done that the amount of rifles firing the salute at the end keeps getting smaller. They could have kept replacing the rifles characters when one died (or disappeared off screen like Cooper and Tongue), but the fact they kept it consistent and let the number dwindle is a nice touch.
