I want to say BOC was my first concert that same year. In February, 1977. Best damn show I ever saw. Real lasers!! Buck and Eric, thanks for the great memories and music! Rock on brothers.

BOC video, from their "early days" is so rare. IMO, this one's audio is slightly better than their "Live 1976" which seemed completely void of any bass track. In the mid-70s, Eric's pipes were at their epic peak. "Astronomy" will never sound the same live as it did back then. Thanks for sharing!!!

My favorite band of all time. Just saw them this past February 25 minutes from my house. They're older but still rock. Glad to see Danny Miranda is back with them. Love that guy.

I love how everything in the film is yellow and orange. And here I thought spectres album cover was just an editing trick but apparently that's just what things looked like that time. In all seriousness this is such an important find and I'm incredibly grateful to both Jim and BOC for helping preserve it.

saw BOC 2021 and they still rocked the house. I swear they sounded like I was listening to the actual album, they still sounded that good all these years

Thank goodness these Super 8 films exist to show just how great the classic BOC line up really was at their peak ... Jim captured some of the best "on film" performances of many songs (i.e the 1977 riff monster version of ETI on Buck's channel). The 1977 version of Astronomy here is masterful, the duo of Stairway to the Stars & Harvester of Eyes in 1979 are blistering (esp Buck) & what a pleasure to see Great Sun Jester played live ... the band had an embarrassment of riches after Secret Treaties so many a fabulous song was rarely played after it's original tour (sadly) or even not at all (e.g. Monsters, Vengeance etc ?) ..

Top 3 favourite bands of all time. First encounter, 1978 De Montfort Hall UK Spectres tour, full laser show. Mind blowing event. Who would have thought all those years ago that they would be playing the same venue 42 years later this October. 😎
