being a protégé at 19 is amazing. but being a scholar at 27 who has clear intentions on why they want to start learning art is incredible and inspiring. you have years of experience behind you and years of potential ahead of you! now you aren't scared of failing anymore, you've gone past that. now, there is only the passion to create and enjoy learning for you and you alone. there is no pressure to turn to art as your only means of survival because you know you're in university out of pure love and passion for the arts.

A reminder that Alphonse Mucha didn't begin his study until he late 20s, Walt Disney didn't complete his fist film until he was almost 40, Todd McFarland recieved upwards to 700 rejections before he got a job as a comic boon artist Grandma Moses didn't start painting until she was 77.
As long as you can do it, nothing is stopping you.

OMG!! I started studying art at 28! I feel like Im finally in my right position. Apart from gaining the knowledge & skills, my confidence enhanced. I'm free from all the labels and limitation that came from the society, my family and myself. It truly somewhere I belonging. I love my classmates, we are at different ages and background and that's why we keep inspiring each other. Sometimes I regret not to study Art earlier, but I think it is just right for me. As I have already built up myself enough and have more life experience ( stable and mature enough, ready for any situation). It is easier for us to come up idea and issue we wanna talk about when it comes to time-limited artwork/assignments.

I admire your determination and dedication to pursue art. It is never too late to do the thing that brings you joy. I’m 54 and I have recently decided to do the same. I am going all in to pursue my dream to be an artist. When you bet on yourself then you can’t ever go wrong. I look forward to following you on your journey.

I think this is a sign for me not to worry about pursuing art kind of late. I just finished first year of pharmacy and I thought it wasn't for me so I'm deciding to take a gap year then shift to multi media. I got worried that I might not fit well with the rest of my peers who may be like 2-3 years younger than me but y'know what? who cares ! Wish you well on your art school journey and looking to forward to mine as well !

Last year, early this year I took an oil painting class: 16 weeks, 3 hour classes after a full day of working. It was exhausting but a lot of fun. I learned a lot.
For me it was 26/27 years since I last was in a true school setting, not counting 1 or 2 day trainings through my work.
It was invigorating and it gave me so many ideas and confidence.

Oh my gosh, I absolutely love you. I was just getting ready for bed, putting on some vids to watch on YT on my tv & ur vid popped up on my recommendations, and literally that title brought immense comfort, that I had to just grab my phone and comment. I’m 27 as well, and will be returning back to college to pursue another degree. I felt guilt and anxiety about it, but your vid is seriously putting my mind at ease. Ugh can’t commence how much I appreciate this <3 wishing you the best in your own path as well to others who are feeling the same way :)) ❤ again Thank you for creating this vid ❤❤
