By far the best cinematography, costumes and acting of any series in 2020. The only bad bit about the series....was when there was no more for me to watch. The colours, the direction, the atmosphere, this series dripped class from every angle. Anya Taylor-Joy as Beth, nailed the character totally...just stunning acting. There is no rating for this series, it is head and shoulders above them.

People hardly pay attention to it but I'm 90% sure that the success of this TV show is due mainly to this extremely wonderful soundtrack

Every now and then a masterpiece like this comes out, and the world is gifted with a few hours of hope for the human race, before dropping back into it's usual chaos. A truly brilliant story, lessons of which I will remember for as long as i live.

I cried at least for 10 mins straight at where she grows up and returns to Mr. Shaibel's room and saw those newspaper pieces also the letter that she sent to him when she needed 5 dolars for her first ever match up. Queen's Gambit is one of the best series that I've ever watched. I wish I could remove my memories to watch it again with the same first-time emotions.

One of the best shows ever made. Watched it like 3-4 times, and I always cry at the ending. Every aspect of it is beautiful, i don't even need to explain it. I'll always come back to it.

"The final game" - goosebumps everytime. I was shouting at the TV "Look up! Look up!" She looks up, the ceiling chess theme rocks in and the battle continues. Love love love this score.

I love 'Take it, its yours' it has such a sad tone, like 'I got here through struggle, but in struggle I persevere'

I've been playing chess since 4th grade. I used to be the student (with no friends, who got bullied, and who was a "nerd") who finished all his work before anyone else. So one day, the best teacher in the world (my world at least), Ms. McLean, took me to the back and began showing me how to play this beautiful game. I began finishing all my work faster so I could have a chance to play a game with her. I fell in love with it. Like Beth did (but I was no genius haha). I just truly loved the game. I got so good and I eventually beat my teacher :). However, I stopped playing in the few years that followed due to no one knowing how to play. I also became an athlete/"popular", and chess had a negative connotation (i.e. people thought only nerds play chess [which is sad])... I love this show, because it brought me back to the world of Chess. A beautiful world. And I hope new people learn how to play. It's not just for "nerds". It's a game for everyone. Have a great day, fellow chess lovers! :) <3

First day at school is the most amazing song in this collection, however the entire soundtrack is mind-blowing and this has helped this show become the best NETFLIX's ever made.

The series starts in about 1959 (I was 10 years old). I graduated High School in 1967 so I was in my prime during this Era so this series hit home with me.
