Possible upgrade to the trailer would be an awning over the right hand side giving some more shade and cover from the elements over the door.

When you run the offset hitch on the trailer side, you need to keep an eye on the trailer welds near the gooseneck. It adds a bunch of extra leverage to the trailer frame.

Taylor I am afraid you are going to have an issue with that gasket on the trans. When I was the transmission tech at Dodge I saw it all the time. IF you do wind up having to go back with RTV, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO USE THE DODGE RTV FOR THAT PAN . The Rtv they use on the transmission pan is not like normal rtv. Do not use standard rtv on it if you wind up having to swap it. Just my advise.

You should have swapped the transmission pan out for an extra deep, finned one. It would add capacity to the transmission and add extra cooling with the fins.

you need to check out the grid heater bolt on your 6.7, banks has a bunch of videos detailing the issues, the grid heater power bolt basically rusts through and drops in to the intake runner on the engine, wiggling the power wire to the grid heater will tell you if yours is on its way out, any movement on it is bad!

The Cummins makes its peak torque down low, that's why it is programmed to upshift sooner than you're use to.

I would advise to do a grid heater delete. Im starting to see more and more of them causing catastrophic failure. The bolt breaks off and usually ends up in number 6 cylinder. Its not a bad job either. But keeps up the awesome work!

Highly recommend you upgrade the torque convertor and flex plate. The stock ones are known for cracking the center out and taking out the adapter plate

long bed swap the mega cab. Its a project and a half with extending the frame but you have the tools and know how to do it right and you will love the truck even more.

A armless awning would be nice on the trailer. Also a Maxx air vent fan or an ac unit on the trailer would be great.

Just had an interesting thought while watching this. has anyone with a short bed put parking sensors in the rear pillars to alert them when the trailer is about to hit the cab. Obviously would need some tuning so they didn't annoy the crap out of you but I imagine it would be somewhat useful

If that pan leaks get the revmax deep pan. It’s thicker so it won’t bend or warp, deeper for more fluid, and has a drain plug on it

Im not sure how the gen y is for a gooseneck trailer but there are tons of people who report cracked frames after using gen y on 5th wheel campers.

X Clutch have been a staple in the Aussie drift and LS scenes for decades, they also just started making moves in the US and have sorted out clutches for Rob Dahms 3 and 4 rotor cars. Might be worth investigating.
