* Cursed Halo Again (Only been released for 2 days, but it's an instant GOAT contender)
* SPV3
* Ruby's Rebalanced Halo CE (and Combat Revolved as an honorable mention)
* The Flood: Virulence (a complete 5 mission CE Flood campaign, Custom Edition only)
* The Mythic Overhaul series for Reach and H3 (Campaign and Firefight)

Cursed Halo CE had a new update the other day. It is fantastic. Gashnor's Cursed Halo 3 is also amazing.

100% agree on custom campaigns. I want to see modders do adaptations of the books and create original stories. Still waiting for someone do a Contact Harvest campaign where you play as Sgt. Johnson and follows the characters of Johnson and Dadab (similarly to how halo 2's story is set up).

The mod I remember coming back to was the Killtrocity map pack for Halo 2. Tons of custom levels I wished I could play but never had the means. I would LOVE to see them make their way into MCC!

I definitely recommend the ultimate firefight sandtrap mod. It’s not just a multiplayer map port to odst, it’s a full fledged firefight with allies, boss battles and more. Well worth the download, there’s a reason it’s so popular on the workshop, no clue why it’s not on this list tbh

Oh shit, I forgot about HUGEASS. That map was literally my favorite map. Good memories of me and the gang playing on it came flooding in! THNX for bringing me back! I still have my PC with that map on it, though since then I got married, had a son, etc.

Crazy to think that mod tools have evolved so much that the gamers are becoming the new devs, heck I have more fun playing custom campaigns (which has better story and it’s more fun) compared to halo infinite

I remember playing on a map for Halo Custom Edition which had a flyable escape pod. People used to get on and spend like 20 minutes flying to the moon, which turned out to be a flat sprite once you got to it! 😆

There was a custom campaign for Halo CE from back in the day it had for levels that were very big and it was a lot of fun. Its integrated in one of the SPV3 Mods

One mod I would recommend is halo 4 reflow, it turns down the annoying bloom, makes the game more fun and with some quality of life tweaks turns halo 4 into a really good game

I'd love to see y'alls take on Halo CE's The Silent Cartographer Evolved. It's a full reimagining of The Silent Cartographer, meant to feel familiar, but brand new. It's one of the most underrated H1 mods out there IMO.

6:03 I think also the engine itself was very unstable to the point they had to remove a lot of content to make it stable enough for release.
