Hey Sara. Since your live I was thinking a lot about how people use covert narcissist so much, meaning I think that these are people that are smarter and more manipulative and good at conning people with their mask. I think a lot of these people they are calling covert narcissists are probably antisocial. There's one person who I knew was a narcissist but also I am realizing he was antisocial as well. He was a great listener, charming, great at reading body language/cues, always excels in work, active in community, is very likeable, and has (cognitive) empathy. This is just interesting because it's the complete opposite of how people would think antisocial is displayed. You only see the true antisocial come out when they are triggered or they don't get their way. Flip side, he has told me before that he "doesn't care" and has "impulse control issues", was a cheater, was an addict, and only cares about furthering his career. I feel a lot of people who haven't experienced antisocials may not know who they actually are until they are deeply emotionally invested. As a person with antisocial do you feel you can truly love someone for them, or is it always about what you can get? And if you couldn't love, were you aware of it (in the past) and therefore always searching for some sort of connection??
