I’m glad (and surprised) you mentioned drawing hobie’s hair wrong because I’ve seen lots of people draw him with an Afro instead of wicks and it totally throws me for a loop- also the movie was SO good ahh I really enjoyed it and I can’t wait to rewatch it!! This spread is so awesome and it’s totally inspiring me to draw some spidey-people!

Yooo!! The pages turned out so good especially the coloring with Hobie. This movie has been my hyperfixation/special interest ever since it came out and the main reason I tell people to go watch it is cause of the artistry. Anyways you did a really good job!!

When you talked about how scary it is to draw in a sketchbook and you just have to not fear it, I 100% understood how you felt. I have 20+ filled sketch books and they're all from when I was younger and didn't fear perfection. I have been drawing exclusively digital art for YEARS now and whenever i try to do something in my sketch book, it just never feels "perfect", but I have to remind myself that it isn't SUPPOSED to feel perfect, it's supposed to feel like my art!
But yeah I just wanted to share that with you, you definitely aren't alone with those feelings. I'm glad you're in a better headspace about it! I know it gets exhausting to try and make a clean, neat and organized sketch book.. sometimes we just need to let that kid take over again!

I do like your piece of advice on not to fear art. I definitely think people hesitate, including myself, because of the high expectations we give to ourselves. If you were to give your art ideas a shot, then it’ll definitely become a learning experience and something fun or challenging to try! Love the fanart too, these two are also my favorite characters and you captured their styles amazingly!!
