I agree with using references, but also I think even just making the face yourself while drawing the expression can really help...at least for me. I love the difference in Saul's and Bill's personalities (like a sweet Strawberry and a tart blueberry). Expressions are super fun and I love the way you use yourself as a reference for expression. Another thing that I think helps with expressions in how high or low eyebrows go and how open or closed the eyes are. My style heavily relies on the shape language of the eyes and eyebrows. This was a very helpful video I didn't even think to use a reference for expressions. Hope you have a fabulous week Shay.ā¤

I've been doing lots of figure studies from the Line Of Action website and avoiding the expressions studies because I am very bad at noses and eyes and such. But I really should give it a go, since my figures are starting to look better since I started! š I'm so proud of myself for trying new things
