This is how you interview a musician. You speak 5% of the time, and let the guest talk and play for the rest. Wonderful.

Rick Beato has become so important, not only for the fans, but for music in general, amazing.

This was truthfully some of the most beautiful guitar playing Iā€™ve ever heard

I think Ricks interviews are some of the best things on YouTube. Nothing better than sitting down with a gin or whiskey and listening to these brilliant interviews for an hour or so. Absolute quality.

My guess is that you may never see this comment, but if you do so much the better. Thank you and Dominic Miller so much for making my day and also making me cry. I am not very bright and have spent most of my life driving truck's around the U.K. I have spent many years trying to play guitar with out much success. Please keep on doing what you do it's so cool. OMG. His transcriptions of "your song" and "winner takes a fall" had me in tears. Such beauty. He slowed down the notes and it took on a new life. He's a genius.

Met Dominic years ago in my business partnerā€™s Battersea restaurant. I would fly in from Boston with fresh lobster and crabmeat and Dominic would be ready for a nice Italian/American meal. We sat together often. He told me he played the guitarā€¦.so humble. It wasnā€™t until he gave me tickets to see Sting at Albert Hall that I realized he was Stingā€™s guitarist. Amazing guitarist who loves music so much and shirks the fame aspect. Such a grounded individual he has always been an inspiration.

I find it really awesome and kind of Dominic Miller to play the guitar a lot during the interview instead of just talking. Not many do this.

Itā€™s crazy how he makes every note sound so clear with such difficult chord fingerings. A true expert at his craft.

Dominic doesn't know this, but its because of his passionate and tasteful playing that I became a musician. I was growing up in a musician's home so I was destined to pick up an instrument or two, but wasn't moved by the stuff my parents were playing, so I didn't start playing until age 6. At 6 years old, my dad recorded a crummy VHS live recording of ten summoners tales, where sting wore this unforgettable fluorescent gold silk shirt. And off to his left was Dominic and his luxuriant but simple playing coming through on Fields of Gold. It made an everlasting impression on me, a spark of effemeral musical life that Dominic infected me with, and I couldn't be more thankful for it. Thank you to both Sting and Dominic for your fatherly sort of examples in all things music.

Miller is a genius...he makes it look simple. His explanation makes the riff seem like 'of course playing it slowly makes this so easy'. Only a handful of people in the world can make such inspired tonation seem matter-of-fact.

Dominic Miller is a legend....he claims to be not so great but it's so obvious that he's a fantastic guitar player....period. He's amazing. His lack of muted or buzzing notes/his sense of time/his amazing clarity while playing a classical guitar leaves no doubt about his skill and musicianship. Could listen to him play for hours. This interview is sublime. Thank you Mr. Beato, you are also a legend.

I have never watched an interview where the musician starts playing, and creates a perfect bubble of silence... it's like the rest of your day falls away and all you are left with is pure wonder. Amazing. I think this feels mostly down to what Dominic is "not" playing - he leaves each note in its own space, with its own importance and weight, the right amount of respect for every single brush or pluck or slide... amazing interview, amazing guitarist

The sound coming from that little guitar is amazing! Rickā€™s genius is letting Dominic play.

Just came here after watching him teach Paul David's bossa nova. Dominic should be on every best guitarist list.

Amazing. No shredding, No sweeps, no million notes a second. But the most tasteful guitar playing. I hope the young players start doing this too.

I saw this was over an hour long and I thought, I know I don't have the stamina for this. I'll watch a few minutes, see what the riff was, and maybe come back to it later. I could not leave once I'd started! Wonderful interview, beautiful music, enlightening and inspiring. Thank you both!!!!

This interview w Dominic was riveting and Iā€™m not a musician. I have learned more about music through Dominicā€™s teachings. Excellent conversation, focus, positive energy and well balanced human being. One other video that is intriguing to me is when Sting is singing and Dominic moves quietly to the backup singers and instrumentalists to help them. What a memorable moment.

this guy's 'touch' on the guitar is immense. But Rick B is surely the best interviewer of others musicians. Fabulous. Thank you!
