to everyone who feels like this is a bad song/album, just give it some time. It always takes time for me to process her style change for each album but after a few listens I always end up liking it. Don't judge just yet, I hated Nfr so much when it came out but now it feels like home and I am sure this will too <3

As a huge fan of singers such as Bjork and FKA twigs who experiment a lot with their voice, I really appreciate Lana doing this. I love this song.

The way she sings "and you were my man"... just slays me. She has a way of both making you fall in love with her and also painting a vivid picture with just the way she delivers a small line.

Surpasses all expectations. The rollerskates, the desert. The swirl. Jack at the piano channeling Radiohead. She's got this. She's skating all the way to Tulsa, and she isn't coming back.

Finally she's opening up about what her fame has ended up feeling like to her — she had hinted at it in "Architecture" and had it disguised through "Best American Record". So happy for her. And for us! This is definitely her best song whatsoever, to me.

this song just sounds like one of those moments when you realize how time has passed but not in a bad way,. the way she whispers out loud is just like nostalgic and grateful at the same time... that's why I love her

white dress is one of the best lana songs ever. actually chemtrails in general is such a great album. i would love to listen to these songs by the beach. i love how free and artistic her recent songs are, i love the lyrics and the spiritual vibe.

I'm curious as to why she sings most of the song in that raspy voice. I'm not familiar with her pre-Lana work nor do I know a lot about her history, so I wonder if that way of singing is in reference to her earlier days / reminiscent of how she sang back then? I'm reading many negative comments about this song, which surprises me, since I find it fascinating. The imaginery I perceive from White Dress is that for over 4 minutes she is looking at her past (as if it was a documentary perhaps). Then, when she sings the chorus at 4:25 with her usual singing voice (a delightful change not because the prior is bad, it's just a beautiful shift), we see her present self as she reflects on who she was and the context she was in. I've listened to Lana since BTD but it's her last two albums that have made me consider her art very highly, especially NFR which is an absolute masterpiece. I believe she's now at a point where she's earned the right to do and experiment with her music in whatever way she wants and it always has her own stamp in it. Few artists can really do that and do it well (Björk immediately comes to mind).
