I’ve had a productive day:
I woke up at 6:15 and felt refreshed.
I made myself some eggs and toast, as well as a nice cup of iced coffee.
I finally got my laundry done after a few weeks of not feeling like it.
I wiped down the counters in my kitchen and cleaned up my room so it’s not a complete mess anymore.
I started a new painting that I’m enjoying making.
I went outside for a good 2 hours.
This assortment of songs describes how I’m feeling today, happy for once and alive.

hey, it's me from about a year later. life's kinda sucking right now. school's been tough, i'm overwhelmed from doing 2 different sports practices a day, and honestly i feel like giving up.
ever since i remembered that i made this comment about this time last year, i looked at the replies and remembered that there's a lot that i can still do, even whenever everything feels like a stand still.
i hope everyone is having a wonderful day, and if it isn't, i know tomorrow will be better :D
edit 2: an update ✨
school is definitely better now than it was at first. my winter season is over (i got 1st at jv districts for wrestling in my weight class which is pretty cool) and track practices are starting this week so that's even more exciting. sure, personal stuff does get a bit intense, but still pushing through because 1. spite and 2. i think it'll be worth it in the end

it's been a while. track's over and i got to do pole vault for the first time this season. speaking of first, that was the place i got at jv districts yet again. i'm worried but also excited for next year because both the sports i'm a part of (wrestling and track), i'll have to be varsity for. it'll be tough, but i'm willing to push as hard as i need to to be the best i can.

POV: you skate down the streets of your small town as your friends bike behind. You shout to the grey, orange, pink-ish sky and they shout with you. The sky turns dark as you and your friends enter a small clearing and lay down. You stare at the stars and laugh/joke about how much of a nobody everyone is. It’s the last day for summer vacation and that means they have to go back home and it’s back to the boring mundane life of going to school and back. Knowing they’ll come back next summer gives you motivation to wait for them. But, there might be another motivation to go to school too...
