love how the ex looks like he’s made of fireworks, symbolizing the sparks she still feels when she’s around him, but then he blows up and the place catches on fire, symbolizing how her feelings for him will only bring her destruction. I love Olivia’s music videos because they all have little details like this that tell the story! Her and Petra should collab for every music video.

The way she represents the fact that girls will go out of their way to go to a guy's house is perfect. She snuck in onto he back of a truck, got on a bus, got slushie all over her, and walked in the rain at night all for this boy (who doesn't deserve it). (and someone who does deserve this wouldn't want you doing this in the first place)

I personally love how she wasn’t afraid to push some boundaries with more elements of the punk-rock style!! The way the song features her “talking” the lyrics helps to convey the message of how she was trying to mentally talk herself out of seeing her ex. This style of song definitely will be met with contrasting opinions, but that’s what makes her unique! She doesn’t try to make music that will please everyone; she sticks to what she thinks is unique and true to her style as an artist!

I really don't fall under the demographic of Olivia's music, I'm 33 year old man, but due to my work I listen to the radio a lot. And I dig her music because it's practically rock, but pop. I'm glad that she's kind of back door introducing rock styled music to the newer generation. I definitely feel like there needs to be a balance, pop has sounded very similar since the late 2000's, and I think Olivia is doing a great job of making her music stand out by meshing it with rock rhythms and beats, yet very pop verses and choruses. This is another great example of that. Like the lyrics are definitely not for someone like me, but the vibe of the song immediately makes me buy in regardless. Good stuff.

I love how in this video it’s like the universe is trying to stop her from going to her ex’s house, like with the rain and the car breaking down, like trying to give her a reason not to go but she still goes anyway. Really emphasises this bad feeling in your gut when you’re doing something you know you’re not supposed to do. Really clever and very well ties in with the album theme! 💜
