Squirrels are underrated. Come join me this summer in my Creative Engineering class!! monthly.com/MarkRober. Being able to design and make stuff is a superpower that can be learned and that more people should have!

Mark is the only dude on youtube who would spend a year building a better maze for his squirrels

The fact that Frank went on the roof, assessed the vent layout, and went in and nailed it, is incredible to me

Everybody loves Phat Gus, but my personal fav is Frank, he figured out the entire vent system first try, and he even set up blueprints :) heā€™s cute, bold, and smart!

I gotta tell you: In the crazy, sad, dark world we live in, content like this is absolutely priceless. Thank you!

Neighbor: ā€œthe squirrels are really becoming a problemā€ Mark Rober: ā€œyeah, Iā€™ve been training them with a special obstacle courseā€

Riveting action! Aside from admiring your creativity and your abilities, I was at awe with the tenacity and intelligence of the squirrels. 16:41 minutes to watch squirrels go through the maze? So worth it!

Marty is just like "OH MY GOSH IT'S BETTER THEN I EVER COULD'VE DREAMED!!!" before he opens the safe

Imagine walking up to a pregnant person with a big sign that says "Can I call you Phat?" and then holding out a piece of cake with "yes" written on it and an empty plate with "no"

I'm legit so impressed by Frank going over the tubes and figuring out the maze first try.

I love how Phat Gus figured out the helicopter ride by being so into eating he forgot it was moving

Fun fact: Flying squirrels are no different from normal squirrels, but they have a big flap of skin between their arms and legs. They use these ā€œwingsā€ to glide from tree to tree, parachuting, with MORE drag. So they glide.

Can we just take a moment to notice how smart these squirrels are? And the fact that, even a year after, the squirrel squad is still in band?

It amazes me how Frank inspected the maze from the outside before entering

This was better than reading a book! Loved the engineering and monologue, just amazing. My grand son is really going to enjoy this.

14:40 makes sense because humans have only been around for almost 1.7 million years so squirrels know more than we do.

I'd just like to point out that Marty the Hacker is the real MVP. He was the first to overcome the spinning bar, hacked the computers to drop the ladder, and conquered the laser box to open the vault. What a story arc.

Anyone else kinda blown by the fact itā€™s been A YEAR since the last one, literally feels like yesterday

Having raised 2 orphan squirrels last year I had a chance to watch them develop all these amazing skills. They are clever, acrobatic creatures. Notice when they approach some object theyā€™ve never seen. They get low and hold their fluffed up tails between them and the object. That way if the object attacks them, it gets the tail and not the squirrel. I love your obstacle courses!
