The part about someone loving you teaches you how to love yourself is YES. People say we should love ourselves first before loving someone else but that is unrealistic and really hard for a lot of ppl with mental health issues. We are deserving of relationships and love. Sometimes it does take someone to be willing to show or build with you a healthy relationship to be the example of how to love yourself. It's just about consent to d that with you.

She says she loves her job. And thatā€™s so crazy to me because I also have BPD and hate working I havenā€™t worked in 2 years because I have no motivation and I lack that I donā€™t have any goals etc.. Does anyone else feel the same? Is it just laziness perhaps?

BPD is proven to be one of the most ignored, misunderstood, and least spoken about, disorders, which makes it extremely difficult for those that possess it and those around them. Other illnesses continue to receive steady but growing attention, whilst BPD is left at the background. What is sadder is that you could be having BPD and not have any comorbid depressive or anxiety disorder, but your life remains disrupted, mostly because it's more of a hidden disorder, unlike the other disorders whose symptoms and episodes are often quite easy to observe or see. That your, surroundings nor loved ones can struggle to understand that you are going through an emotional episode that has nothing to do with them, but the misunderstanding leaves an everlasting impact in your relationships (mostly negative). Talking about the experience of the illness helps continue to bring and spread awareness about it. There is no way around it, but to continue to talk out about this illness, hopefully, the future will be brighter, and the illness will receive the attention it needs. Thanks for sharing.

I am 59 years old and have lived with BPD for a long, long time with very little help. Only a few people know I have BPD because of the terrible stigma surrounding it. Most people can't afford to pay for therapy and like me go without it. This needs to change! So many people not only with BPD but other mental illnesses go untreated which causes more pain.

I almost cried. I have been suspecting that I have BPD for a while, and when you said that thing about not feeling accomplished enough to sleep, it just clicked why I do this to myself. OMG. I need to go rethink my life.

ā€œThe him loving me unconditionally helps me love myself ā€œstatement really resonated with me about my husband. Because of my BPD which he doesnā€™t know about because Iā€™m still trying to understand it I was always expecting him to leave or abandon me because of how this condition makes my mind think.

As an overachiever/perfectionist with BPD, itā€™s awesome seeing someone that I can relate to. Itā€™s sooo hard to find a balance. Sometimes I donā€™t feel like Iā€™m worthy of taking care of myself unless Iā€™ve maximized my productivity. Thank you for sharing your story, it truly helps!!

I am utterly impressed with how you deal with your BPD. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to deal with it, especially when you are at a low point. Your own perspective is the only perspective that you have, and that's exactly what I think makes BPD such a challenge to live with. Very, very impressive.

Thank you very much for this, I have BPD and there's few representations of people with BPD outside of writers or artists, so to have such a strong leader showing herself really means a lot to me! Thank you so much!

You should be really proud of yourself, you are clearly working really hard to not let BPD define you. This will be truly inspiring to those living with it and hopefully they can see too that living life with BPD is possible!

Thank you for posting this and sharing your experience BPD is still being studied and still remains a very misunderstood diagnosis But the more and more we investigate this topic; the more likely we are to discover/create better coping mechanisms for people who struggle with self harm tendencies and intense fear/emptiness

Thank you for sharing this video. I recently been diagnosed with BPD and it hurts me to know i have it because i have 2 kids and when i think all the time i just snap at them because my bpd got triggered i breakdown crying and went into this deep dark hole of guilt. But I'm also glad and blessed to have a husband that is supportive and in laws that even they don't really understand what I'm going through, they never judge me. Watching this videos really helps me to feel the sense of standing on the ground. Again, thank you so much! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

I have BPD, am an avid #MentalHealthAwareness advocate and spoken word performer, and I love this so much. I travel the country trying to bring that awareness on stages, in classrooms, hospitals, and on my YouTube channel, so I get excited when I see other advocates.

You are a brave soul, and means alot to hear your testimony. Especially for us who are navigating through this disorder. Some days are harder than others. With the right support and love orbiting around us, we take a stronger step forward everyday with being our healthy selves. I hope you are proud of how far youā€™ve come. Be strong when you can, rest when you need it and give Grace to yourself always . <3
