2023. This has just made my evening. After all these years I can still sing along and join in with all the harmonies word for word. They are at their prime here, so much energy, not one bad song. Joniece Jameson is a star in her own right, I hope she went on to have a fabulous career. She really sold Sisters are Doing it for Themselves. The drummers grins got on my nerves though, and that kid with the harmonica wasn't even mic'd up so I don't believe he was playing that solo anyway. Who was he? Bravo Eurythmics. I'm 55 now and still a fan

I remember this evening...I grew up in Rome. My mom knew a TV add and movie agent who called her up about a week before, and asked if I'd like to do this harmonica miming job. So I did. My parents are both classcal musicians, I was 9 years old and was listening to Eurythmics, Queen, the Beatles... I loved Michael Jackson... and I was (and continued to be after this evening... just a regular kid. But I knew I wanted to play music and I wanted crouds going crazy. Not classical music. This evening pretty much put everything that happened later into perspective.
I play sax and flute around town in the UK now. Jazz.... but mostly pop. I have Eurythmics to thank. Soooo much.
In hindsight I can now say (and we can all say) this was the 80s. When bands really played their asses off. I love Eurythmics, but weather you like it or not, pop music back then was at it's roots (still, compared to 2020... and all in all was lots better. There is melody here, there's love there's every single note being played that means something and overall a much more personal relationship with the audience than what is generally going on now.
Every few years or so I watch this gig again and again... I always hear something new and exciting.
Much respect to all these wonderful musicians.

I saw Eurythmics twice. The first time was in 1984 at the Beverly Theater in Los Angeles. I went alone because I was the only one I knew that was totally into their first two major releases. Even before the curtains parted, they were taking control of their audience with sight and sound, and when the curtains parted, the band was jamming away at full force. After a few minutes of this, Ms. Lennox came dancing out in her Scottish plaid pantsuit, and proceeded to completely dominate the consciousness of the audience for the next two hours. It was a mesmerizing, spellbinding performance. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. I have never forgotten that tremendous performance and my appreciation for Ms. Lennox and Dave Stewart.
