L.A Noire & Bully - Rockstar's Forgotten Games

Rockstar in recent years has severely limited the number of games it wants to release and has decided to only focus on two specific titles. This decision and caused games like L.A Noire and Bully to suffer as both games haven't received sequels in over a decade.

LA Noire will always remain a classic. Midnight Club is another one I'd easily add to the list. Just a shame that Rockstar saw the money pit from GTA Online and decided to abandon all their other IP & franchises and keep milking the well, because when they do decide to go back into their single player story bag, they do it really well. Great watch as always 👌🏿🔥💯

Bully definitely needs a sequel. That and some more red dead content (seriously rockstar, gta online has enough content to last literal decades)

LA Noire harkens back to a time when AAA games were actually innovative and had fresh, new ideas.

LA noire isn’t exactly a free roam game, but it sure as hell is an amazing masterpiece and is the epitome of underrated

Bully was such an entertaining game and definitely an old fav. If there's ever a continuation, I hope it doesn't ruin the original.

Our main character is a marine, not a soldier It's amazing that most of the main characters in L. A. Nori are all marines and most are all connected to the cases

As someone who plays this game frequently, I have to dispute your claims on street crimes. The "Streets of LA" mode you get after completing all of the investigations of a desk allows you to do street crimes, get collectables and do free roam shenanigans. It is however quite obtuse, so you are still correct to some extent.

Imagine Rockstar making a new Noir game with fully fledged graphics, fully fledged side quests, and a red dead 2 - like open world (in terms of detail). That game would be absolutely insane

We need an L.A. noire sequel, but not in L.A. Instead, I think L.V. (Las Vegas) would be a perfect sequel location. The location has a rich history with police and criminals, most of the city directly or indirectly made by the mob, as well as many different, unique locations. Not only that, but it keeps the two letter acronym like L.A., keeping the L too to connect it further. There's also lots of activities that people can go and do and lots of activities that can relate to crime and cases, like gambling, casinos, night clubs, music events, and many other venues. It would be a great setting to see what stories and ideas and tales the developers could come up with. That is, if rockstar ever decides to ...

I had seen a playthrough many years ago on LA Noire and this past November decided to play for myself, and actually 100%'d the game. Something I only reserve for games I truly enjoy. With the RDR 2 engine, and how advanced motion capture is, I think a remaster of LA Noire with a sequel would be .. honestly breathtaking. Imagining LA Noire recreated with RDR 2 level graphics (the subtle facial animations that the characters could pull off).. is just amazing. It is however a niche genre, similar to Bully.. it just isn't as 'mainstream money making' as GTA Online is. GTA Online used to be higher standard, higher quality when it first launched even on the PC. However, as time went on, they started watering it down, lowering payouts for certain beloved missions/methods of playing, and then started releasing stuff that was questionable at best. Just to appeal to the now newest lowest common denominator, lowering the bar so kids can get in. Thus, more ways for people to spend their money. Take-Two is ultimately the culprit, but with how Rockstar have been acting lately (GTA Online and especially the negligence of RDR Online) Rockstar isn't clean either.

I enjoyed Bully because the characters were memorable. I wish they did give Gary more screen time to flesh him out a little more

LA noire should of include the feature where your decision have real consequences kind of like true crime NYC. Complete a few street crimes to get your badge back. And you can be a good or bad cop.

Just finished L.A. Noire 100% with all trophies today. Damn, it was hard to quit the game at the very end when I finished with everything... The game asked me if I really want to quit.. It was like... I don't know, when you lose a friend with one click or something... I really, really loved this game, I don't see any chance for it sadly, but I hope one day it gets a sequel!
