The "it was power cuts, it was certain doom", in The Band and I, is probably my favorite part. In Maisie's Salt Lake City concert, it was chaos. There was no power, the power plant told the venue in advance and no one told Maisie's team, the venue said they didn't know, idc. So Maisie's team is trying to find generators at like 6 pm on a Wednesday, Maisie and the band are preparing an acoustic set, some of her team started a camp fire to keep warm. The venue was literally a shack, there was a graffitied crack house across the street. Her opening act performed by a nearby building' bathroom, outside, in March in Utah (it was maybe like 60 degrees outside at the warmest, there were still piles of snow from shoveling) because there was some power at that place. While we were waiting, the audience sung what of Cate's Brother was released and Maisie stuck her head out of the bus window to lead the group and record it. Her team found generators, the concert started two hours late. The venue was soooooo small, the venue sold more tickets than space, only 270 tickets total, so you know it was small, and people had to watch the concert through windows. But, this did give us the cover of "Teenage Dirtbag", so it was beautiful. I was in a boot from a surgery, the venue had a chair saved for me at the front and another person that needed to sit and it was amazing. It was literally the most chaotic time, it was amazing, fantastic. Definitely one of the best nights of my night, the best concert I've ever been to. I also got Maisie's set list and she signed it 🥺 I have it framed on my wall. Another thing I love is in the Teenage Dirt bag video from Maisie, I can pick out myself screaming 😂
