I knew Kate was up to no good episode one. Iāve seen and read enough Xmen to know she was the Emma Frost of the group. How she so quickly went from her boyfriend golden boy (tragically committing suicide in part due to her constant mind wipes of him) to sleeping with his bestfriend Andre seemed VERY calculated and manipulative like she was pushing him a bit into it. I know college kids are notoriously horny but that was a VERY quick jump from grief to sleeping with Andre.
That consent hypocrisy when she pushed the guy at the club to get them into VIP (without consent) but then says she wouldnāt do it without consent š; and her sneaking up on Andre when he and Emma were breaking into the woods was Chekhovs gun for me. There was no other explanation but her manipulating them all to some extent using her powers. In a world where telepaths with abilities like Kateās exist, I would never trust one.

I think itās fitting that Cate was the one wiping them and has an obsession with control to keep friends safe. I was afraid she was going to be a secret villain that didnāt care so this is a much better direction imo, itās very fitting that she would be petrified over a situation she canāt control

Wow I think this was interesting yet really great twist that I should have seen coming but man the Sam puppet massacre might be my favorite moment from this episode including Emma being herself, Marie and Jordan really cool chemistry, and the big betrayal of Cate fkin wit her friendās memories holy shii she has a strong power but man this episode was pretty solid imo loved it especially for a lost memory episode. Canāt wait for more Gen V episodes and breakdowns.

My thoughts: Rufus is Cate's brother, (similar powers) but Cate made Rufus forget. Also, I think if Cate doesnt know about an event that happened, she cant make someone forget it; example of this is when Rufus and Marie meet, and dickplosion happens, Cate looks confused as if she didn't see that situation when she was going through Marie's memory. Cate can only delete what she KNOWS is there, not what she wants. Another example is: When Cate gives Andre his memories back, they are all HIS memories and not new/ altered memories. Cate can only delete/ change what she knows not what information is hidden. Newman is 100% Marie's benefactor and the Supe Virus is what STORMFRONT was working on when she said "Fredrick had a plan if the wrong people received a dose (V)". STORMFRONT was behind Sage Grove and I am willing to bet she is still alive and is behind The Woods as well.

Maybe golden boy didn't die in the first place. Sam was said to have killed himself yet there he is. if Kate is really involved in the woods she might be pushing the victims friends and family to believe their dead like she did with Luke. Kate might have only gotten close to Luke just to manipulate him.

I think it's awesome that Sam's been wearing coveralls with the name "Greg" for the past couple of episodes. It's befitting since he may feel overlooked and misused like security guard Bob... oh I mean Greg ( gr8 for production value).
I think Cate really believes she is protecting her "friends" but it's interesting that she's looking out for those who rank high. I've never seen a ranking for Cate tell me if I've missed it. So she just may be there to control the supes until the perfect another way to do so. What is Cate and Luke's origin story? They were already at God U when it flashbacked 3 years to reveal Sam's "suicide" ... so... the powers-that-be could have manipulated a relationship after recognizing as Brink said Luke could be more powerful that Homelander and Sam is collateral damage.
The end in Ep. 2 the screen cuts to black after Cate's seizure. Did Cate wipe him? She even threaten to push him in Ep.3 b4 they had sex. Andre said that he slept through his alarm and missed his interview, was that just a lie or did Cate wipe him?
Marie in Ep. 1 says how she was not a monster bc her sister had referred to her as one... i think episode 5's title highlights how each of them can be viewed as monsters.
The person with the skin affliction in Ep. 6 looks to me like the girl who was hauled off to Elmira in Ep.1...the blood stains on her shirt are somewhat reminiscence of the hearts on her t-shirt when she was taken.
Lastly, it's noteworthy to me that both God U and Red River were established in 1965, one year after the civil rights act 1964. Red River is obviously under funded as u can see they use the gym for storage when Marie is practicing her powers. A stark contrast to the God U gladiator arena where the "chosen ones" are able to hone in on their skills. I only mention this bc The Boys likes to connect story to historical events. The Supes experiments also put me in the mind of the Tuskegee Experiments. Happy sleuthing
