If your looking for similar music to this try Nils Frahm, Mogwai, Sigur Ros, Jonsi, Jonsi & Alex, Hammock, Baths,  Angus and Julia Stone, Sea Olena, Soap & Skin, Soley, Low, Bonobo, a little of Bjork, iamamiwhoami, Fever Ray, Samaris, Farao, Celer and Caspian. Hope this helps anyone, I think Olafur Arnalds however will always be my favorite

I discovered this song years before I saw Olafur live. When I did see him and when he played this I was glad that I was in the back corner row of a big hall in the dark so that the tears of a muscular shaven headed bearded man were not to be seen by anyone. Years later, and it still touches deeply.

I just turned 33 a few minutes ago, and I'm still learning to be this kid, to break out of my own comfort zones and really take control of my own fate. Thank you Olafur!

This song makes me feel alive. Sad, but alive, which is more than I often feel.

I discovered Olafur in 2009. He was the reason I wanted to become a composer. I started learning music 2 years ago and I have composed 6 pieces so far. I hope to meet him one day to tell him what an important musician he's been to me.

we improvised to this in my contemporary dance class. turned down the lights and just let go, danced with whatever we felt. and I must say it's one of the most amazing things I've ever done. the power of this song, the freedom and the expression.... it was incredible.

I listened to this song nonstop as a 17-year-old when my father passed away. I feel connected to him whenever I hear it <3

So far, so close Some put their back to the wind, they see where it takes them Some look to the sky, the sun, moon and stars; they see where they guide them Some look to the land, the ocean and air; they see where they bring them Some look inside their mind, body and purpose; they see where it drives them I look to my heart, that’s where i see you

The wind is freedom, without any “white” frames, the boy is chasing for freedom and while chasing, he was tied by the desire for freedom. Wonderful artwork!

Not everything is in our control. Not the places we go to, people we meet, fall in love with. This brilliant piece reaches us what it is like to let go, and how beautiful letting go can be.

I can't find the words to describe this piece of art, but it doesn't just touch my soul, it tears it apart and puts it back together
