The whole album was the soundtrack to my life at a time where I was in a very sad and toxic place. I was in a place I thought I would never get out of. I had accepted in my mind I would have to end my life or just find little things to enjoy and absorb them. Like make the best of my horrible life in any way I could. And this album was one of them. I’d go to work and listen to it almost every day on my headphones and then I’d go home and just try to get through the abuse until I got to the next day. I was able to get out of that place eventually and break free. But this album has a strange pull on my heart. I love it so much but I get this melancholy happy sadness when I hear any of the tracks. I’m in a beautiful happy and healthy place in my life and I’ll never really get over what happened to me then but songs like this help me realise that I came so far in the last 15 years. And what’s more I did it under my own steam and I’m still here now. We sing we dance we steal things will always be the most special piece of art that I’ll ever have had in my life. I could sit and tell so many stories about how songs on it fit into my life at that time but I’d be here all day. Love Jason so much. Thankful for his music

1:48 Bro I am actually offended that the mixer muted the scat. It's one of the most awesome parts of the song.

This songggg!!!! I always love the way he performed this song soooo effortlessly. Really enjoyed listening it for the first time when I was in Junior High School, I screamed and listened to it over and over again. This song really never gets old! I even memorized most of the lyrics in this album and makes me love learning English (I’m Indonesian btw) while listening to more Jazz, Pop, Funk songs.

I live in Eritrea. I first heard of Jason Mraz when a relative of mine who lives in the US sent me his old apple Mp3 player more 11 years ago. It had Jason's first two albums. And my life changed from the moment I heard the first song. He is the perfect embodiment of a true musician melodically, lyrically and spritually. Keep making those soul healing musics Mr. A-Z. Much Love from Africa !
