I cried through most of this…absolutely amazing, so wonderful to hear one of my very favorite albums again (your big band era has always been my favorite). You have been my favorite musician since I first heard “Waiting For my Rocket to Come“ when I was 14 years old, and your music has quite literally been the soundtrack to my life. Getting me through dark bouts of depression after my mother died, dancing to “A Beautiful Mess“ at my wedding, listening to your music exclusively through 14 hours of my labor with my son…it is literally impossible to express how much you and your work has meant to me, and I cannot thank you enough for the magic you’ve given all of us over the years.
Side note—I have been a huge fan of DWTS for many years, but stopped watching when Tom Bergeron/Erin Andrews left and the show went downhill. I always said that the ONLY thing that would get me to start watching again would be if you were to come on the show—and here we are!!! I screamed out loud when I saw the announcement, lol, cannot wait for Monday—you’re gonna kill it! 🌟
