The Best of Guzheng - Chinese Musical Instruments - Relaxing Music Part 1
-------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------- Wiki ----------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The guzheng (Chinese: 古箏), also known as the Chinese zither, is a Chinese plucked string instrument with a more than 2,500-year history. It has 16 (or more) strings and movable bridges. The modern guzheng usually has 21 strings, and is 64 inches (1,600 mm) long. It has a large, resonant cavity made from wutong wood. Other components are often made from other woods for structural or decorative reasons. Guzheng players often wear fingerpicks, made from materials such as ivory, tortoiseshell, resin or hard plastic, on one or both hands.

It's so sad to see that so many people in the comments were criticised for the Chinese heritage. I feel that one's heritage and culture makes up a large chunk of who they are and thus making fun of one's culture is the same as shaming the person itself. Chinese culture is so beautiful and so are all the cultures in this world. Please never be ashamed of your culture and who you are, you are unique and take pride in it. Don't let other tell you otherwise

I’m Mexican and when I was little I had a Chinese neighbor who would invite me over to play with her and her sister. Their mother would play the Guzheng sometimes and it would instantly give me goosebumps. It made me feel at peace and even now it makes me want to cry lol but it became a core memory. She also made amazing dumplings I have yet to try any that come close to the ones she made. I never got to say goodbye since she moved while I was out of town but I still think about them every time I hear the Guzheng.

I dont mean this in a bad way but reading the comments just makes me laugh. People saying "im not even blank but i love this music" music is universal, and good music is good music, no matter what culture u grew up in XD

I am not Chinese, but my wife and daughter are. My daughter plays the Guzheng, and I love it. I love to listen to older Chinese Traditional songs. One of my favorites is " My Heart Represents The Moon ".

I am chinese and i play the guzheng too, listening to this makes me inspired to play again after a long break <33 i'm so happy that a lot of people can appreciate the music and chinese culture, everyone is so kind ~ And for those people saying they're "ashamed to be chinese" i'm not sure where you came from, but have more confidence in yourself, i am infinitely proud of who i am and my culture, and so should you! Chinese culture is part of you whether you (want it or not). So be proud of yourself and embrace it!

I’m Hispanic and I love Chinese culture so much... the music EVERYTHING IS JUST TOO BEAUTIFUL. I literally can not wait to become an adult and be able to visit china one day. edit: read about people sharing their experiences as a Chinese person. If you went through hard ones or is currently in a hard situation please read this, don’t feel ashamed. your country is one of the oldest ones in the entire world and you have a lot of culture and history. If a American ever bullies u just tell them sum like “ at least I have culture “ (kinda childish but it’s TRUE) Your culture; music, clothing, traditions are all amazingly beautiful. I love your donghuas and novels! Specially Xianxia . I get to enjoy more of your music and martial arts. Which I like lots! Now my point is, you have a lot that most countries don’t and not comparing btw, All countries have beautiful culture but yours can’t compare, don’t ever feel ashamed! That’s a huge mistake u shouldn’t continue or ever do. Enjoy it, feel proud!

I am Arab Moroccan but I live in The Netherlands and having to listen to the beautiful Chinese music gives me a incredibly bright look on it’s culture and it’s people! I always loved exploring and learning about other cultures, it’s something that gives me a break from work, school, friends etc.

Love the Music! however, the instrument the guy in the picture uses is a Guqin, not a Guzheng

My husband and I welcomed our baby boy into the world six months ago, and this is fantastic for him to listen to during nap time. It’s important to me to teach him about his heritage, as my husband came here from China. I’m so proud and thankful for my family 💕

Hello, I am Turkish and I live in Antalya with my family... I respect all cultures in the world. But Chinese culture is extraordinary. Chinese music is very beautiful. Guzheng is a very mysterious instrument. Its music relaxes me. I love it very much.
