I can see why people think this song is about suicide or suicidal thoughts, but I view it a bit differently. It seems like this is a person who truly believes there is little happiness for him in the world. He says 'it's all right, 'cause I'm with friends": even though he clearly doesn't believe it's okay, he's recycling what others think will help get him through it. He sees his life as this cycle of inevitable pain and suffering that he can't seem to escape. His conclusion doesn't seem to be about suicide; it seems he wants to run (AGAIN) from the things he identifies as hurtful.
