The reasons she asks if she can get another drink is because her husband has had issues with alcohol in the past & has been sober for a few years. Out of respect for him she’ll check with him if he’s feeling ok with her having more alcohol while around him. If he’s not then he’ll let her know & she won’t order more drinks.

I grew up eating steak well done. I think cos my parents were scared of getting sick from underdone meat. But now I like it medium. Not too pink, not too done. It just comes down to personal preference. As long as you are enjoying it, that's all that matters!

I grew up eating it well done. As I’ve gotten older I’ve gone as far as medium and like it. Any more than that and it’s a texture issue that makes me wanna projectile vomit.

I will never understand what people have against the way ANOTHER PERSON eats their food. They act as though they're being force-fed a well done steak, etc. Steak people are weird.
