Need some help with self care routines, or some inspiration for some easy self care habits? This video is for you. :)

Self care means knowing what we need to feel our best, and then trying to incorporate these things into our days consistently. Which I know, isn't always easy. :) Understanding the different types of self care has been very helpful for me in this regard, because it helps me to know which kind I need when, and to do a variety of different self care activities.

Lots of love,
🌼 Vera

It’s so good to be back from my break! 🙃 Which of these 10 types of self care are you best at? 👇

Has anyone read Dopamine Nation? It was really eye opening for me. Our mental health is negatively impacted by any addictive behaviors including too much social media, screen time, overeating, alcohol, smoking, over shopping. Any of these can get out of control and totally mess up our mental and physical health. All of these are so easily accessible and way too easy to get hooked

I'm definitely best at "Surroundings". I genuinely enjoy maintaining a clean, tidy minimalist house. I've never thought of it as self-care, but it is, isn't it? I love that! These are all great habits to strive for.

I am not good at forgiving myself. I tend to always blame myself for any argument I might have. Maybe because I am used to always be blamed for it... I don’t know, but my introvert and shy and closed personality make other people see me as insensitive and that leads to arguments and then I blame myself. And then I tend to close myself even more and I don’t talk about my problems and I bottle them up. Art is my self care number one activity, because I love to draw, paint, stitch, machine sew, make books, etc. I also love to walk. This was such a great video. See you next time 💙❤️💗💜💛🖤💚♥️🧡

A lot of times when I'm talking through something to say my mom, stepdad, or grandma I do get more insight. It's amazing

Welcome back Vera! Your attempt to explain at the end of type 8 without explaining 😂 that’s a really important part I think! ❤

I've just found you! I'm going to sieve my matcha from now on. I like rituals, they're like anchors in a stormy sea...my life is lacking routine and money at the moment...I'm recovering from post pandemic stress/trauma xx

When you think about your goals, when you put your time, energy, focus on achieving them most of the time, you become what you think about: a great success.

Welcome back Vera, wonderful message as always!! I’m so glad you took time for yourself and I hope you continue your own self care. Trying NOT to be hard on myself is challenging, but I’m working on it. Love yoga, meditation and walking my dogs. Thank you for your commitment to healing💕🐺

One of my favorite points you made was that part of pampering can be simply being kind to yourself. Why is it so easy to overlook that? Lovely video. Thank you for your great content!

Love this video. I didn’t realise there were so many aspects of self care. Time to start implementing more of them into my daily life.

I will say I am at 5. I have tried my entire life to have balance. Still a work in progress. I think it has a lot to do with who you live and work with. How people do their share of the work load. You can only have control of yourself. I have found I do more than my share of household chores inside and outside. This does lead to burnout and hard feelings. I try to do the best for myself and others. Most of the time it doesn't bother me but sometimes I feel exhausted with no time for myself. All work and no play. Thanks Vera for the video. Balance is very important for one's health, mental and physical. ☮️🌍🌲

Welcome back Vera. I missed seeing your videos and rewatched some of the older ones and even found some that I had not previously seen. But I am glad that you took the time to prioritize your well being. Continue to do so. ❤ The timing of this video is perfect. I needed to hear about restorative self care. I'll be doing that this weekend.
