The decline of Western civilization isn't so much economical as is argued in this clip. Its not to do with political divisions either....its social and moral more than anything. I lived in Vietnam for a while and I noticed that they had a much much stronger sense of community than we do in England foe example. That's the social side. This is important because humans are social animals. There is an epidemic of loneliness in England that not many people are talking about. Community centres, pubs and small businesses have become nearly extinct. Community policing is gone. Machines have replaced people at checkouts, the ease of buying clothes online, shopping online and the rise of the smartphones means that human interaction is at an all time low. Couple that with a society that is ashamed of real human weakness and vulnerability and you have a recipe for disaster. Then there is the moral side. Celebration of selfishness, violence and sexual perversion disguised as liberation. Rejection of God and the church, the decay of family. All these things have led to a moral decadence that would have been unfathomable 60 or 70 years ago. People like Mary Whitehouse in England, seen as old school moral zealots, were actually right. Once one thing is permitted it gives license for the whole stack of dominoes to fall. The consequences of this moral decline are like shockwaved peeling the country and society apart. Rise in gang culture, drug addiction, and suicides and homelessness. People die inside and fall apart ..unable to function because that thing which drives us,the spirit,is extinguished. It sounds cheesy but only a return to love and to god can save us. It's so sad.

To say life is more simple AND harder than life in the West, is BS. Yes, a lot of people in poorer countries have it worse, however, nobody ever mentions the psychological stress of living in a developed country, I´d rather be poor and have a good tribe than being alone on an average wage in the West,

I see the future being very dark. Nobody in this world is happy and becoming more uninhabitable. Personally I dont see human beings being around within the next 1000 years if we're lucky to get that far. Humanity will have to face some very difficult challenges soon that will be tested by nature.

The current World is similar to 1930-1945 Era, with economical crisis and autoritarian goverments rising.
