Special thanks to Tiege Hanley for their patience with this video. I was hoping this goal would be wrapped in 60 days and they waited through the journey with me: tiege.com/goalrings

That feeling at 10:56 is what maintains exercise habits. The feeling of triumph after achieving your goal.

Look how your feet constantly turn to the right. That is an indication of some muscle/neurological asymmetries that you might want to look at next. Also amazing! Your progressions are amazing :)

First off: Awesome that you made it! One comment I wanna make is that when you used the bands, you still used a lot of hip drive and momentum to get through the transition. You can see this with your muscle ups in the end as well: You go through the transition explosively by trying to pull as fast as possible and using the hip, but you never controlled the middle part (This is why you struggled with the third rep, you got stuck in transition but didn't have the strength to go through). When you train with the band it really helps to go through the transition as slowly as possibly. You might need to use a way stronger band than you thought you needed at first (at least I did). By doing many controlled reps of just the transition with a decently strong band you build up the strength to control the movement. In the long term that makes the muscle ups much safer on your joints and progress becomes smoother. And the amount of reps you can do becomes less of a guessing game.

Your dedication is inspiring! I've had rings for a while now but they're just so much more intimidating than weight lifting! The learning curve seems so much more steep. But I think now with the adjustments, modifications, and extra exercises you incorporate I can give smooth that learning curve out a bit more. That fine line/moment between the pull-up and dip seems to always get me. Haha!! Can't wait to have met that goal the way you totally smashed it out in 3 under months!
