We do not need to hear from people who talk the talk but those who walk the walk....I have eaten one meal a day for years and have faced many social situations that demands conformity...I simply use one meal a day as my default setting... and spend 99% on that setting.. why ??? for all the reasons Dr. Fung gives at the end of his talk....energy,,, endurance... simplicity in life.... be aware of the controlling people around you that not eating like them is a threat....lol.. Oh yes, I am 71 ...

What I like about Dr. Fung's videos is that he freely gives his knowledge in way a layperson can understand. He is not trying to set me up to sell me some type of magical powder, drink or pill that I need to take to practice fasting. With so many of these health and fitness videos by other creators on Youtube after a few minutes into the video they are suddenly trying to sell you some product. They spend the first part of the video telling us why we need something and then magically they produce this product that fulfils that need. That to me, is a major conflict of interest; however, Dr. Fung is just here to share his knowledge with no extra strings and that tells me I can more readily trust what he is saying.

I was 103kg when I started to read ‚The Obesity Code‘. I am 56kg now 1 year later. I am at my healthiest point of life now, also working out regularly and running a lot. I do not think I would be where I am now without learning about Intermittent Fasting. Thank you! By the way I lost most of my weight (40kg!) within 6 months! Without living unhealthy…

Dr Fung you changed my life after I ran across your videos. I’d given up after years of dieting my way to 260. At 65 I resigned to my weight. After 16/8 w 36-48 hrs 3-4 x month. I lost 60 lbs in 6 mo. And I loved it! Easier to not eat than to count calories. Just prayed to learn to enjoy black coffee and tea. I now prefer it. Everything is better and it’s not about beauty but about health. And it’s FREE!! God bless you

The wake up call for me was learning that the issue was insulin. My doctor had me injecting insulin every morning to overcome my insulin resistance. Luckily I had the grey matter to buy Dr. Fung’s book. I threw away the insulin syringe and went into intermittent fasting with a focus on a lower carb diet. Nothing else changed. Within 12 months my A1c went from 11.5 to 6.2 and I also lost 12kg. There has been no rebound and I’ve continued to maintain good blood values as well as stable weight. I’m deeply indebted to Dr Fung for these outcomes.

"habits don't require willpower." Absolutely right! Fasting has been the easiest most sustainable way for me to lose weight. Understanding the way insulin works is a game changer.

This has changed my life. The high flexibility of this lifestyle is changing how I focus on important tasks that improve my life and how much control I have over my health. The clarity that you have provided as to how my body actually works vs how my parents and school system fed me and how doctors have advised me in the past. Until I saw your video no one had ever explained the hormonal response to eating. I've been pre-diabetic for years and doctors just advise, "Cut 500-600 calories and don't eat junk food." And when I would keep a strict food journal and work with them they would still say, "You're doing something wrong or you would be losing weight." So, I started working out every M, W, Friday, and every other Saturday, 2 hrs, with 1 hr of weight training and 1 hr of cardio. I lost 7 lbs in a year. In a YEAR. The doctors then said, "Well, it seems as if you have crap genes. That happens." I'm not exaggerating here. A DOCTOR said to me, "you have crap genes." Most of the recommendations made me feel hopeless, exhausted, and lacking control over my health no matter what I did. To now see why scientifically, I was on a path to failure is just so uplifting. To understand how to properly apply a restricted eating schedule while still eating the healthy food I always liked eating and see IMMEDIATE results from my efforts is glorious. During 47 days of doing intermittent fasting correctly I've lost 14 lbs. More importantly, I feel great. I'm sleeping much better. I walk every other day and I'm just enjoying the extra time not eating has given me. Thank you Dr. Fung for advocating for time-restricted eating. You've given me so much hope and agency that I can control my health by feeding my body correctly by controlling how often I eat.

Started at 347 two and a half weeks ago, started slowly with a 16:8 fast. I moved to omad pretty quickly, and now im on my first 48 hour fast. I weighed in this morning, and im now at 330. My goal weight is 235 ish punds or so, im so excited to begin this journey, and i have to say thank you for all the quality information. More doctors should be talking about fasting, it really is what we as humans were designed to do as far as our relationship with food goes.

With intermittent fasting, my meals taste better than ever. Food was boring when I ate whatever i wanted whenever I wanted. On my way home from work now my mouth starts watering thinking of the salad im going to make and eat. Ive always loved huge salads, but never enjoyed them as much.
