In July, The Jericho Chronicles made its way to London and featured stories about some of the biggest matches and feuds of Jericho’s career. Hear the details behind his first-ever match, his time with CMLL in Mexico, and how he made his way to Japan. He details some of the best matches he had with Ultimo Dragon while in Japan and how a young Mick Foley told Paul Heyman about what he’d seen. He breaks down the mask vs. title match he had against Juventud Guerrera. He runs down all the circumstances leading up to his bouts with Triple H once he got to WWE – including Last Man Standing and Hell In A Cell. Additionally, he recalls his favorite Shawn Michaels feud, working with Rey Mysterio in 2009, wrestling Kenny Omega at the Tokyo Dome, Stadium Stampede, and taking the giant swing from Claudio Castagnoli on top of the cage at AEW Blood and Guts.

Hard lesson to learn, when people say "call me if you need anything," they don't mean it, they don't even realize what they're saying and they don't expect you to take you seriously

“You’re not worth the paper your contract is printed on.” I can’t understand why anyone would want to leave the WWE

I remember watching the match he's talking about at 2:39 when it was originally broadcast. That match was a storytelling masterpiece and he's right, the crowd absolutely lost their minds. People forget how massively over the Y2J character was in 2000. Some nights some crowds he literally got bigger pops than The Rock, and this was during the height of the attitude era.

Bruh that sign to stay away from the Spanish announce table is hilarious, there was literally a time when specifically only the spanish announce table would be broken every week 🤣

I went crazy when Y2J won the WWF from HHH. I was so pissed when they took it away from him on the same night.

Hey Chris. I was 11 years old when this match happened and still think of it as one of the most exciting, incredible matches I saw during the attitude era. Thank you for the memories, you're a hero of mine

All the stories of H and his flunkies being assholes to Jericho made me so mad back then. I just couldn't understand why they would let petty issues and jealousy get in the way of Jericho's massive potential. I've long given up caring about stuff like that but boy this brought back memories.

With the benefit of hindsight you can see why Jericho left WWE and signed with AEW. Sure, he'd been a big star in WWE, but he'd had to scratch and claw to get there and had never really gotten the treatment his talent deserved, always being a "B-tier" star even when he was a main eventer. AEW was his chance to be THE guy, the inaugural champion, regularly the top heel, yet also in a position to do for the younger stars what he thinks needs to be done in a properly functioning wrestling company by knowing when to put them over.

I was watching back then, Jericho came out of this well. Triple H got up at the last second and then immediately collapsed, selling the beating he had endured. It showed that Jericho was tough and could stand toe to toe.

You know, after a while, as a fan, not seeing them let you be Champion actually drove me away from the product, until you came back. You're still the champ in my N64 copy of WWF No Mercy.
