I saw Dave outside of a restaurant one time, chasing his daughter around a fountain, laughing with her, picking her up, and living completely in the moment. Yes, he's a rock god, but it was obvious that before that, he was a great dad. I would love to meet him sometime, but I never considered interrupting him while he was with his family.

I think it speaks volumes that Dave has been in the music industry - and in the public eye - for over 30 years and has never had any huge scandals or controversy or bad allegations against him. Can we just pause and admire how easy it was for him to come out with a killer beat just by snapping, slapping his leg and tapping his foot at 10:34. I know people are going to be like, "well duh! Dave is the ultimate Everyman. One of those rare people who becomes wildly successful but never ever stops being as excited about what he does as when he dreamed about doing it. His greatness is something everyone can aspire to because rather than seeing his own greatness he seems to always approach everyone else with the attitude of "Oh my god I'm having such a great time. Want to come along?" His joyful passion about music and life in general is contagious. I hope he is able to keep rocking for decades to come. The world is a better place because Dave Grohl is in it.
