If I'm remembering right...
If you're playing GTA 1 on the PS1...
You could pop the disc out Mid-Game and put in your own CD...
The music would only play while you're in a vehicle...
But it was pretty awesome!
Otherwise, the first Xbox!!!
That thing was AMAZING for adding your own tunes!
You'd RIP your entire CD library onto the Xbox...
Go into LOTS of games' settings...
And you could Rock your own Library!
I was extremely fond of playing The
Tony Hawk...
Tetris...
And Karaoke Revolution games this way!
This is By Far...
One of the BEST videos I've seen from you...
Keep up the great work!
This is REALLY COOL!!!😎

Also there was or is the ability to have the mp3 player (or whatever they called it on PsP) for VCS and LCS on PsP using the Rockstar Custom Track program. I used to have custom songs playing during the game myself, back in the day. No idea how i was able to do it considering someone else did it for me lol, but pretty cool nevertheless. Not sure if Chinatown Wars had it too? Think you have done something like this before, but for those not aware, it was a thing!

Then, start the game and scan for User Music. After scan is complete, user music will be able to play your music. - In-game advertisements will play by default in the game alongside your music files, if the user music mode is set to Radio. To disable the ads, simply set the music mode to other than Radio.
