This episode takes a fresh look for the 1994 murder of 23-year-old heroin addict Julie Finlay, in Liverpool. Julie's naked, strangled body was found by cyclists 15 miles outside the city on August 6. Police are still trying to trace a man who was seen talking to Julie in Liverpool's red-light area as well as a transit van close to where she was later found. The programme also probes a murder that has baffled detectives for more than a quarter of a century. Just before noon on September 6 1974, the battered body of 30 year old Tom Hewitt was found in his garage in Bury. The father of three from Bolton died later in hospital. His eldest son Paul, now 34, admits his father was a 'bit of a ladies man' raising the possibility that his killer could have been a jealous husband or boyfriend.
