This was originally written to be used for the ending of 1996 Romeo and juliet movie, that's why the lyrics ends with "Now we are one, in everlasting peace..."

"What did you do, Kenny?! They're saying it was kids! That's you've been looking at kids! And Lindsay saw it! There's a video of you, and all of her friends have got it! Kids, Kenny! Tell me that's not true!

this episode of black mirror, with the radiohead playing in the background at the end, is one of the best and most powerful moments of any tv series, and the song fits it perfectly they completely engaged the audience throughout the whole episode and played a trick on them. unbelievably deep and provoking episode, that focuses on morality and ethics well done

"When Radiohead starts playing at ANY SHOW OR FILM, you know something fucked up is gonna happen." -- THIS WAS USED AT THE END OF WESTWORLD SEASON ONE, AND I DIED.

Unironically one of the best radiohead songs ever. I think a lot of their songs (especially in Ok Computer) give you a bittersweet or melancholic vibe but this song just goes out. Almost conveys a mix of emotions: like betrayal, anxiety, and some you can’t even explain, like the feeling you get when your given absolutely terrible news. Amazing.

It’s sorta ironic how “exit music for a film” can now be attributed to a bunch of different media. Black mirror, west world, Romeo and Juliet (the movie it was made for), umbrella academy.

This song goes out to Brianna Wells my good friend that was murdered. She was only 17. When I found out my friend and I just drove around, this song on repeat. Crying remembering taking it all in. Her case is still unsolved. It’s 5 years later I’ve never forgotten. Never gave up. I miss u Bri, I love you 💕 RIP hun.

One of the most melancholic songs I've ever heard. It's magnificent, makes me tear up every time I hear it.

I like how it starts out really sad, then around the "you can laugh" part, it sounds distorted and almost threatening, like you're having a bad trip. Then it builds up and there's this amazing crescendo followed by the dying whimper of the ending. Such an awesome song. Two shows I watch used this song, but I thought it would be nice to actually talk about the song.

6 years ago my childhood best friend Drew died at the wheel in a car accident. He had a very rough childhood/ was abused. I think the stuff that happened to him as a kid directly correlated to his mental instability/ substance abuse problems/ and subsequent reckless driving as an adult. Right after he passed I kept asking for signs from him in my depressive and delirious mourning state. Then one night a few days after he passed, I fell asleep with random sad/ grunge era songs playing on YouTube because that’s the music we both grew up listening to… until I was abruptly woken up to the loud crescendo of THIS Radiohead song that I had never heard before. The weirdest part, Radiohead was Drew’s favorite band. For that reason, this song will always have a mysterious and otherworldly quality to me. RIP Drew. I hope your stepdad ch0kes for what he did to you ❤️
