Behold, that one person who explains the lore/plot/everything in F*CKING long paragraphs! >;D and adding in some of my own theories as well. Feel free to correct me and tell me what you think. I'll be breaking it down to 3 parts as we, the players, have played 3 completely different characters with different identities that were related as the victims of The Intruder: presumably a young child(House Scenario), presumably a mall security guard(Mall Scenario), and Henry(The End? Scenario). 1. House Scenario ( 0:46 - 10:09) In this scenario, I suppose we are a young child in their own house without their parent(s) or any adults at home, thus The Intruder taking this opportunity to harm yet again another victim. Fortunately, The Intruder has failed and the young child managed to call the police and kept himself safe while waiting for help, or so we thought.. Theory #1 Even though it seems like it, we actually never won in the first scenario. This is because during the interrogation of a police with the mall security guard(or person), the police mentioned that there was a young boy taken away by The Intruder before us(the guard), and what they thought was 'the boy' taunting them with a phone call. (19:29) The theory is that while fleeing the scene, The Intruder had also taken the young child(boy) with him, and he managed to break in barely after we fixed the phone and lodge a report, mimicking the young boy's voice before escaping with him. 2. Mall Scenario ( 10:32 - 19:27 ) There isn't much lore or important details in this scene, so I'll try to skim through as much as possible. In this scenario, we are playing as a person doing night shifts and a mall. This could be either the staff, the janitor, or the security guard. I'll be taking my guess that they're a security guard as they have access to cameras and the power box, but let me know what you think. During the night shift, The Intruder decided on us to be his very next victim, but failed as we managed to lodge a report to the police and actually ended up as a survivor. 3. The End? Scenario ( 20:48 - 32:43 ) This is pretty much the main lore or key to this whole story. In this scenario, the person we're playing as named Henry, presumably killed (indirectly) his newborn child and his wife by crashing their car on road with The Intruder standing on it in the middle of the night, making his(The Intruder) intentions seem apparent to Henry that he wanted to harm them, maybe even planned on bringing Henry down as well, but didn't expect him to survive. Either that, or The Intruder managed to make his wife holding his newborn stand in the road in the middle of the night, making Henry crash into them unexpectedly, but I think that's unlikely. We learned from the room puzzle interaction that Henry's wife is name Sarah, while other remaining important information still remains unknown. Theory #2 "It's a shame you lost your family, if only you weren't so reckless behind the wheels" The Intruder said as we walked down the hallways. In another perspective, this could be The Intruder taunting Henry that it was because of him crashing into the road that resulted in the death of his family, but there could also be many other possibilities that Henry might also be the one to cause the murder of his family(directly), but that's all there is to it. Whew, if you managed to read until the end, I applaud you, but it's not like you'll get a reward for this ;>
