I first listened to this song 4 days after my friend passed away. I didn't get to say goodbye to her and I live now regretting that I didn't reach out or even send her a little card. I heard this song a couple weeks after my grandpa died. Last time I saw him I was high as duck. When I left that day he put his hand on my shoulder and said "I love you son. I know it can be hard some days but I know you can do it." I told him it was a new medication. This old Vietnam vet who took me off the street when I was a teenager, (long before drugs, whole different kind of story)... This man whose whole family adopted me in as another one of the kids... Last time I saw him he hugged me and said he loved me no matter what...
