Trys Keturiose sutartinių giedotojos festivalyje "Sesė sodų sodino 2014" Rokuose (Kauno rajono Samylų kultūros centro Rokų laisvalaikio salėje) gieda sutartinę. Traditional Lithuanian folk glee about a conversation with nightingale. This archaic genre often features personifications of birds: cranes, nightingales, ducks... The old performers of this genre even used to say that the intertwining polyphonic singing of these chants reminds them of the gaggling of birds in itself.
Dainos žodžiai:
Sodi lakštutė gražiai gieda
Keliesi, martela, tu jaunoji
Seniai tave anytėla berugojo
Aš nebijau anytėlės rugojančias
Aš nurimsiu anytėlį kuo lengviausia
TRANSLATION OF THE LYRICS:
A nightingale is singing nicely in the garden:
- Get up, dear daughter-in-law, you young one!
It's been a while since the mother-in-law has last scolded you.
- I do not fear my scolding mother-in-law,
I will calm her down ever so easily.
