When I heard the 20yr anniversary version of Breakaway I thought it was a version recorded way back then that hadn’t been released. Finding out that it was recorded 20 years later and yet it sounds like it was from the Let Go era speaks immensely of Avril’s incredible talent not only musically, and lyrically but also vocally. Knew since I first heard it in the Let Go 20th anniversary edition that it was her “current voice” and not the one from 17 y.o., but everytime I listen to this song I think how beautiful she’s always sung regardless of the era❤️❤️ This song has recently brought some tears to my eyes because it describes exactly what I’m going through right now, hoping for a better tomorrow and getting what I want in life.
