I love both versions but they convey different emotions about their journey. Kelly's seems to be about looking forward and not looking back and Avrils seems more like looking forward but looking back on memories fondly. They're both amazing

I'll be honest. I really didn't know that Avril had originally written this song. It feels powerful here. Maybe because it's ACTUALLY hers. Kelly's version is amazing too, and feels more nostalgic, but this just feels like home. Both versions are very similar and amazing.
