“I can sit here watching flowers grow, just to know the bees have a place to go”
religion put a pit in my stomach, it made me reflect on the idea that even though you’re gone from this earth, you can decay into soil and life will continue after you.
thanks for the hope alice!! such a beautiful and heart-wrenching album💗

This is the most gut-wrenching, heart-stopping, depression-inducing, beautiful album I think I’ve ever heard. I’ve been listening to Alice sing since her first covers and I really think she nailed this one! I already love the album to pieces on my first listen, which I didn’t think it was possible!💛💛

Crazy YouTube algos - this has only just popped up on my feed. To think I almost missed this completely is almost as heartbreaking as Alice's voice and singing. One of the most talented singers of the time deserves better exposure than this from YouTube. Nearly a million subscribers can't be wrong.

I can relate so much to star song. Having dreamt, lived, and breathed music for years I have never made any progress because my thoughts have disabled me from pursuing my dream. I have so many songs that I have written that have not been recorded or even shown to anyone. As each year ticks by, my dreams seem to fade away and it keeps me up at night. But then when day breaks, I resume with my distractions and tell myself ''I'll do it tomorrow'. Then tomorrow became yesterday and here we are with little to show for it. Everyone seems to believe in me but myself. However, no amount of compliment, praise, or even abhorration can get me to move. Thank you for your song. If it doesn't comfort me knowing that others face the same struggle, it encourages and convicts me to shake the shackles of my mind and proceed with what I was put on this earth to do. Thank you Alice

I loved the EP, the songs feel vulnerable and intimate and the way you recorded them really reinforces that. As someone who was raised catholic but grew away from it I resonated with religion. I feel like I lost a part of my spiritual side in the process that I need to reconnect with. After that, Star Song just really went for the kill, "What a crime it is to live inside your mind" will stay with me for the foreseeable future.
