Heaven originated from Portsmouth, UK circa 1970. Their major live debut was at the famous Isle Of Wight Festival. They were then soon snapped-up by CBS Records, who had a penchant for brass-rock and spared no expense allowing them to issue a double album housed in a lavish cross shaped fold-out sleeve. The band released one album in 1971 before splitting up.

Keys are a bit low in the mix.. but what a tight band and great performance this is. Sadly I missed them back in the early 70s when I attended pretty much every rock show that came through Croydon.. and I don’t remember seeing Heaven on any posters. Maybe they were support act to someone I didn’t particularly care for, like the Band, Little Feat or Whitesnake.. shame, cos I’d have absolutely loved catching a set from these maniacs. 😂
