Ah, a ship close to my heart. I was living in the same town as my _alma mater_, Texas A&M when they finally found the wreck location. Also, my Reserve Service took me down to the beach during the installation of the cofferdam and excavations. Knowing folk in the Nautical Archeology program helped increase that knowledge base.

Ohla, I know Kroum is an Aggie. It's hard to get over; my late father was and Aggie, a Ross' Raider's sort of Aggie. He really never got over it. Had a pretty good sense of humor, but not very good at people. Brilliant man, among the storied boys from the first class of graduated WW 2 vets, 1949. The guys that went to the moon were standing on the shoulders of these men. A&M didn't get much from this, other than proving their "drying out techniques" for the pieces of the hull recovered. But this story is one that Kroum should have told; this is what he is and what he knows- I get what he is saying, but think he is not "leading with his best foot". As always, thank you for another look through the library! Boreas is coming along nicely- slowly, but that level of work best go slowly- I have great expectations for the re rigging, since all of that, but the masts will be your work. Sail Ho!
