4:44 gotta love how Bret brings the microphone up to his mouth just to clear his throat.

I beleive Jim Cornette's side of the story. He was very detailed and specific about all the events. Keep in mind, he bolted as soon as he saw the finish. He left before Hebner, which was a detail that I always found amusing. But at the end of the day, Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels were the people who actually did it.

Cornys story was that he had nothing to do with the planning of the screwjob....his story was he was in a meeting with Vince and Russo and they were discussing ways they could convince Bret to drop the belt and cornette blew up and said basically "for fuck sake just screw him out of it" in the moment. But the detailed planning that was all Vince, Michael's, HHH. Even to be fair to Pritchard he's admitted he had nothing to do with it

I listened to jim Cornette talk about his role in the screwjob in his podcast. Cornette said he had an 'accidental' involvement in the 'screwjob'. He said he came up with the idea of Shawn putting the sharpshooter on Bret but he thought Vince Mcmahon was just joking around talking of ' double-crossing' Bret because Vince was frustrated at not being able to get Shawn and Bret to agree a finish. Cornette said he thought it was all a big joke from Vince because Vince had always got his wrestlers to agree the finish before a big match and Cornette just assumed Vince would sort it all out between the two big stars like Vince always had before.
I found Cornette convicning to be honest. Jim doesn't strike me as a liar. He's definetly got other character flaws (Cornette may have some anger managment issues, lol) but I dont think he's a bullshitter.
