My dad sent me this song earlier today and said that he knew I didnāt listen to country music but knew that when I heard this Iād love it cause he thought of me when he heard this. I aināt gone lie I almost cried I had to smile big lol. My dad took me in when I was younger and heās got two other children of his own. I love that man like he actually help create me. He may not have physically, but emotionally, and mentally, he has helped shape me to be the man I am today and I love him with everything in me. When people see him I point proudly bein 23 saying thatās my dad right there and him being a Caucasian Man it makes people scratch their head. Love shows no color. As you know youāve heard my story. Thank you for listening yall š

Mr Shane. I am a father of 4 adopted children. I was working the other day when I first heard this song, I stopped what I was doing and ran to the radio to hear it better and find out who sang it. Thank you Sir, for putting to lyrics what I have been feeling for 24 yrs. I can't lie I did get choked up and had a tear run down my face. Great song, wish you all the best with your music career.

Makes me cry every time I listen to it. My dad wasnāt my biological father, but he taught me everything about life and was a phenomenal man to my mother. He saved our family and taught us that we deserve to be loved. He was my hero. I miss him every single day. RIP Dad. I hope you know how much you meant to me, I love you.

Never met my biological father but on this Fatherās Day im looking back and so thankful that God had a better plan. My dad took us in when I was 7. Taught me how to love, work hard, play hard, respect others and encouraged me along my own journey to becoming a man husband father. Thanks daddo. This song rings true for us! Thank you Elvie for writing what a lot of people canāt say.

My grandpa met my grandma when she already had two kids of her own. He raised them like they were his flesh and blood. They donāt remember him not being in their lives. Their biological dad wasnāt really in their lives. So my grandpa happily filled those shoes. He loved them so much, and knowing that made me love him all the more. I found this song after he passed away. This really was him š¤

been in my step sons life since he was 6 months old, I saw his first steps, they were in my house in Arkansas before I moved up to Kansas City to be with his mom and him. He turns 11 in April. Im the only dad he's ever known. When he calls me dad, it feels the exact same way as it does when my other bio son calls me dad. They are my boys!!!! Mom passed away last April from a car accident, 1 day before his birthday. 1 year later and our bond couldn't be stronger. That's MY boy! Hang in there son. Your mommy loved you so much. we're a team now you and me. We got this. It's us against the world now and Im not going anywhere. You just follow me and i'll lead the way son.

Being a step parent is one of the most underappreciated jobs in the world. Being bound by love, and not blood is truly a gift from God. To all the step mom's and dads out there....thank you.
