For as much as I hold a grudge against Ubisoft Quebec and Ac syndicate for a lot of the creative decisions they took, I have to admit this aspect of the game is probably the best it's ever been. Let's take a deep dive into what I believe is the main thing Ac syndicate did right, and how we could see it in the future of AC.

another thing I really liked in Syndicate was its social blending When Evie and Jacob is strolling through the streets you cannot visible see any weapons or flashy armors (unless you wear the unlocked outfits) making them seem less suspicious while you can literally identify any other assassins from the series from a vast distance

Technically speaking, they are experts in blackbox missions. So that means AC Red has an actual chance at being an amazing game!

YES! One of my biggest gripes of the "Old Gods" trilogy or whatever we're calling it is that I realized halfway through each that I should stop visiting the forts in my free time because the game was just going to make me go into them for story reasons anyway, and nothing would really be different about them during those missions. It felt like I was being discouraged from exploring the map.

While this isn't my favorite AC game (exactly in the middle), I do appreciate the freedom that it allowed in these missions, the London map, and the ability to just be an inconvenient menace with Hijacking Carriages or Disconnecting Train Cars.

idk, syndicate really is just a good game imho, if you ignore the story youre left with crazy immersion, nice soundtracks, great stealth, great level design, fun activities like gang strongholds and bounty hunts, and this really badass vibe of being this stealthy gang leader who can rely on his gang members i REALLY love the gang aspect of this game, i just love seeing my gang grow up and just chill around in every corner of london, upgrading them and causing chaos on the streets while i focus on my mission, i think that its an underrated feature of the game

Best part of Assassin's Creed games is when they are played as if they are a Hitman games, if you think about it. Just that one has more of the social stealth through the disguises, and another has more of a dimention-based stealth. In the end both give you a scenario that lives on it's own, where you are allowed to intervene at certain point to Drive that scenario to give you an advantage, and, ultimately, driving your target to a certain death by your hands.

for me, ac syndicate will always be the best ac game, period. also, it has the best final boss assassination in whole franchise, when they pin him between each other and just start slashing and stabbing, absolute badassery

I personally really enjoyed the gameplay, and the level design like you mentioned, in syndicate. I felt real power with the gadgets and the Rooks, and each time I ran around the world causing chaos was surprisingly engaging, in a way that felt more thrilling than tedious like in the newer games. And I just have to say that I got so excited when I realized that Mirage was going to give me options again from the first target. Mirage really has the best gameplay since syndicate and I think their similar styles really say something

my therapy is eating while listening to u speak on ac. i can agree with this whole vid as syndicates the only ac i play now since this year began and i think its cause of its missions. damn theyre so good

3:15 That’s a perfect point and a sad one since we really haven’t seen it in the games after helix games. The presentation in these two games are so good that it hide some of trash aspects. I always thought that unity is a bad story told in the best way possible. From the intro until the moment that arno slowly kills germain, the story might be trash but it’s presented so good that up until elise’s stupid decision you don’t really notice it. And syndicate does this with stealth, I think the detection can be sometimes frustrating specially when you wabt to rush in and kill enemies head on. But the way this system is presented through missions is so good that you won’t be bothered by it that much

Usually i play ac for the story and the mission design comes second but theres a reason I've been having fun with syndicate recently. Mission design and Evie's side of the story saves the game for me
