I wanted to share a similar story that reminds me very much of "Coat of Many Colors". When I was in Kindergarten we had a "bring your Dad to school day". My dad left my mom when I was a baby. He lived nine hours away and I didn't even meet him until I was 14. I asked my mom's dad if he would come to school with me. I remember the kids in my class made fun of him for being older and wearing overalls to the school (he was injured in WWII and it was uncomfortable for him to wear a belt over his waistline). I really did NOT care at all that I was being bullied. I was just so proud to have him with me that day. He passed away three years later.

Since quarantine, I've been getting back into my vinyl collection. A few months ago I went to my local record store and saw an original pressing of Jolene. Had to have it! It's my first "real find" as a vinyl enthusiast.
