Can't tell you what this mean for me to see just now. Lost my dad 8 months ago...am a singer....hugely inspired by Dolly and in later life by Shania.....my desire to sing was because of my dads love of country music and the greats. So this was amazing to see 4 incredible women all together speaking from the heart....but Shania's words about her parents and about what music is to all of us, to her and to them.....in tears....she worded it so aptly, the feelings in my heart mirrored right here. I was at the opening of Dolly World in Tennessee , I believe it was in 1986, and I actually met Dolly as she walked in a parade though the town. Man I was nervous as I approached her. She's a little thing and very beautiful π. Dolly said welcome and shook my hand, I swear I didn't wash that hand for a week.
